Decomposing 3-Digit Numbers

Differentiation Activity

Students can create a three-digit number either spontaneously, with dice, or with playing cards A-9.  One student will build that number with base-ten blocks.  The other student will show another way of representing that number with base-ten blocks.  After making a few combinations, the rolls switch and the students make another 3-digit number.
